Luca Curci – Can you talk about your personal experience in Bogotá? What did you think about the whole organization of the event, the artists’ selection, the communication management and opening nights?

Gudrun Latten – It is excellent that everyone can follow the exhibition on the homepage and on facebook. I like it, when performances take place between the artworks of other artists – on such occasions emerges a great atmosphere. So, thank you for organizing this splendid event!

L. C. – What do you think about the collaboration between It’s LIQUID and BAC Gallery –  Bogotá Arte Contemporáneo?

G. L. – It is so exciting and impressing that this collaboration works over this far distance.

L. C. – Can you talk about the artwork you presented in Bogotá? How is it linked with the event’s theme?

G. L. – This artwork is part of my series »Dépaysment – Dream Travelling through my Living Room«. On this picture I perform as Madonna and I appear to pray with a rosary. It is a girl’s dream. I refer to the Christian Madonna as well as to the Pop Star Madonna. I use a kitschy fake rosary for my prayer. My artwork seems to show an intimate moment and my body language is integral to this statement. It is just a staged scene and the identity of the person is ambigue.

L. C. – What are you currently working on?

G. L. – I’m working on videos. I’d like to use this medium for my research about digital colors and different realities more precisely than I’ve done so far.

L. C. – What is art for you?

G. L. – Art is for me a means to express ideas and feelings differently. With art I can say more than usually and I can express it exactly.

L. C. – What do you think about International ArtExpo and It’s LIQUID organizations? Do you think they can represent an opportunity for artists?

G. L. – ArtExpo and It’s LIQUID offer a great opportunity for artists to show their art worldwide at fancy locations and events. I don’t know anything else like this!
