L. C. – Can you talk about the artwork you presented in Bogotá? How is it linked with the event’s theme?

M. B. – My work, that I am exhibiting in Bogotá, is digital photo titled ”THE BODY SPACE”. This photography was taken in Oslo, in a very chic city district Akker Brygge. This post-industrial district is constantly developing. The photo comes from shopping centre. In this abstract unrealistic composition it is possible to see captured mirrors, reflections of human beings and space, and all these elements are symbols for traces of human existence which create an atmosphere of busy city life. Post-industrial architecture adopted up to our time is giving interesting frame to Akker Brygge. And Akker Brygge is an indispensable source of inspiration for me. 20 million visitors comming every year and visiting Akker Brygge all are looking for something. Being determines consciousness” – Marx once said – ”THE BODY SPACE” in which we live is constantly need for space remains the same for millions of turists who are looking for new impressions, and expansion of their own unique space. This purely psycho-physical need is so difficult to satisfy if you are curious about the life. This work is about nature of psych-physical body of human being and it is how it refers to the exhibition’s theme.

L. C. – What are you currently working on?

M. B. – I have started my new web page: malgorzata-basinska.com and I try to find grants for to weeks creative workshop and touring exhibition.
