AÃRK Collective

AÃRK Collective announce their second collection of unisex watches, 002, available online and in stores from 09 April 2015. AÃRK’s new collection, 002, develops the Melbourne-based brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic and playful approach to detail. While 001 explored a whimsical interaction between colour and geometric shapes, 002 draws inspiration from the ideas of time and space. Fascinated by the ‘golden record’ time capsule created for NASA’s Voyager interstellar mission in the 1970s, AÃRK have explored a visual language of discs, horizons, arcs and waveforms in this unisex range. Temporal motifs punctuate the collection, which also riffs on the traditional shapes and details of ‘classic’ watch design.

True to AÃRK’s obsession, the 002 collection features premium materials in low-key execution- from hand-dipped gold casings to custom-designed links, laser-cut indexes and Horween Leather straps. A considered balance of space, time, form and function, each watch bears the name of the physical phenomenon or principle that inspired it:
– Shell, which plays on repetition and variation with a hand-moulded acetate casing and a pattern unique to each watch.
– Eclipse, distinguished by its striking dual-tone plating and a dial evoking the moon’s movement in relation to the earth and the sun.
– Tide, AÃRK’s unique take on classical watch design, featuring a subtle wave-form detail on the hour hand.
– Eon, a statement watch defined by its intricate luminosity, bold proportions and everlasting durability.
The new range will be available online and in stores from 09 April 2015.

AÃRK Collective announce the release of their latest watch series, Āccent, available online and in stores from 12 November 2019. Continuing a body of work that asserts a fresh perspective on timepiece design, AÃRK Collective welcome Āccent to their family of concept-driven watches. Encapsulating a desire to celebrate colour with a modern outlook, AÃRK’s atypical colour treatment sees muted tones elevated by intentionally understated accent hues. Rather than applying a hyper-colourful predictability to its execution, the Āccent series employs a sophisticated colour sensibility unifying soft and vivid swatches in fashion-inspired palettes that have been carefully considered to compliment your style.

At 36mm, the Āccent is striking yet modest—it sits amongst the smaller case forms in AÃRK’s repertoire-making it a perfectly-sized unisex piece for discerning men and women. While a three-hand setting powered by a Japanese Quart Movement brings the watch’s personality to life by creating a shifting intersection of colours, a pared-back dial featuring minimal markers quietly assists functionality. With its expressive aesthetic and arrival just in time for the gift-giving season, the Āccent watch makes for a thoughtful gift and is available in four harmonious colour moods: Sand, Ash, Sky and Reef.  Available on the AÃRK website www.aarkcollective.com and in stores for USD $149 from 12 November 2019.
