Anthony Peto
Anthony Peto was born in London but set up the company in Paris in the late 1980s because of the enormous wealth of skills and supplies in the millinery and hat-making world there. The company created its own workshop in the center of Pars, training its own staff in the artisan traditions of French millinery and chapellerie. To this day, it is the only fully functioning workshop within the city center, equipped to make hats of all types, from felts, straws, and fabric hats to delicate headpieces for society weddings.
The two retail shops in Paris showcase a different selection of hats. Anthony Peto in the rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd arrondissement proposes the mail collection with a very wide choice of men’s hats alongside a selection of casual hats for women.
Atelier 144 in the rue Saint Sulpice in the 6th arrondissement features the Atelier collection of more elaborate headwear for women destined for the weddings and the races, as well as a selection of men’s fedoras, Panamas, and caps, including a wide variety of hats made to measure.
