Artemest Penthouse by MAWD at The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly
New York, USA
Artemest, the premier online destination for Italian craftsmanship and design, proudly unveils its first-ever model residence concept at The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly – one of New York City’s premier new development residential towers. The Artemest penthouse is located on the 85th floor of this 88-story, 912-foot-tall architectural masterpiece by Rafael Viñoly, one of the world-renowned architect’s final projects in New York City.

This sophisticated showcase is brought to life through a collaboration between Artemest and March and White Design (MAWD), the project’s globally acclaimed interior design team. Each selected hand-made piece within the penthouse, from furniture to art, décor, and lighting, embodies the unparalleled quality and heritage of each artisan, garnered through generations of mastery of their craft. With these unique works curated from the Artemest collection, MAWD transformed the penthouse into a living gallery of Italian masterpieces like no other in NYC.

For the exterior design of the tower, Rafael Viñoly took an architectural and structural approach, highlighted by an exposed concrete column that runs throughout the height of the building and a unique glass facade with rounded corners offering expansive panoramic views. All the interior spaces including 272 residences and over 27,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, 15,000 of which are situated at the apex of the building over 800- feet in the sky, were thoughtfully designed by MAWD ensuring the most intelligent use of space, which embraces light and air on every floor.

The penthouse’s interiors draw inspiration from the tower’s curved architectural form and views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center, and the NYC Skyline. The living room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offers breathtaking vistas framed by a sculptural sofa in soft white, evoking a sense of being among the clouds. Complementary pieces, such as a glossy bird’s-eye maple sideboard and a Canaletto wood bookcase, add texture and depth to the modern aesthetic.

Elliot March, Co-Founder of MAWD, commented, “The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly is an ode to Italian design heritage with elements like layered marbles and Roman columns bringing enduring elegance to Downtown New York. Collaborating with Artemest felt natural, allowing us to seamlessly integrate our vision with the finest Italian craftsmanship.” The collaboration between Artemest and MAWD is a testament to a shared vision of creating spaces that tell a story.

For the penthouse at The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly, MAWD carefully selected pieces from Artemest’s extensive collection of Italian artisans. The result is a space that not only exudes luxury but also captures the essence of Italian heritage.

This project goes beyond aesthetics-each handcrafted piece reflects the spirit of its maker and evokes a sense of place, resulting in an environment where every detail feels personal and meaningful. The product selection for The Greenwich includes furniture, lighting, and decorative objects from more than 55 different Italian artisans, spanning ten regions across Italy, shaping a truly unique and inspiring home.
