Kathleen Rhee . Australia
I find beauty and calm being out in nature, I find a sense of connection to the earth, to myself and the feeling of stability. For some reason, it just comes naturally to want to represent that in my work and translate those feelings with paint. I think when you let nature into your life it has a way of connecting you to what is truly important and allows you to let go of what is not. This is something I am always seeking. I hope viewers of my work take away a sense of energy from nature but most importantly that they can finish the story I start and that they make a connection unique to themselves.

Lannie Hart . USA
My work examines the perception of women in contemporary society as informed by their portrayal in history and myth. My gurative sculpture, installation and painting embraces ornate found object assemblage as I work to merge the past with the present. Based on the female gure, my method is rooted in the mastery of combining many techniques, including welding and soldering of metals, clay sculpting, and wood carving. I nd that the layering of dierent mediums strengthens my concept.
