In our daily life, we often get stressed by more and more appointments in less time. Wouldn’t it be great to wear a watch that calms you down? This is the logic approach of BOTTA. We develop watches with a relaxed – and more human – approach to time since 1986.
In 1986, the young German designer Klaus Botta stood in front of a jeweler’s store display. When looking at the watches displayed, he saw aesthetical complexity and historically oriented design everywhere. He asked himself a question that later on led to a remarkable invention: the semplification of time.
Botta developed the UNO, the first one-hand watch of modern times, that became an icon of the watch industry. The UNO renounces everything unnecessary and focusses on the essential. With just one hand, the watch manages to display time more intuitively than conventional three-handed watches. Still today, the UNO is a revolution of time display helping its wearers to gain a relaxed approach to time. The UNO laid the foundation for the BOTTA watch brand with its range of extraordinary wristwatches.
