In 1999, in Paris, on a dance floor… Aurélie loves colors, materials and style. Andrea loves poetry, art and spectacle. Together, they love the elegance and sensuality of the human body. They love music and dance, fashion and La Dolce Vita. Cabeceo was created from their encounter: an union between France and Italy, full of finesse and fantasy, elegance and love of life. In 2011, the duo starts dancing tango, in perfect alchemy. A revelation that decide them fly to Argentina to better immerse themselves. Aurélie and Andrea brought to life Cabeceo, entangling all that they love.

The literal translation of cabeceo is ‘nod of the head’. In simple terms it is a non-verbal invitation to dance the tango from man to woman. The man looks at the woman and indicates with a movement of his head that he would like to dance. if she accepts the cabeceo, he will move towards her and they will tango. This ritual, charged with elegance, sensuality and charm instills the idea of the brand. In 2013, Aurélie and Andréa created Cabeceo, combining the elegance of a Made in Italy product, the sensuality of Argentine tango and the absolute comfort of a dance shoe.

Pumps or boots are designed for all those who love to celebrate and feel unique, are in love with sensual and feminine lines but refuse to feel constrained. Each pair immediately arouses desire that accompanies you for a long-lasting time. Getting one, trying it on, adopting it, is a real experience.

The shoes are crafted from the finest materials. We use resting stocks from our luxurious leather tanners, avoiding waste and overconsumption. Subtly personalized – from the color to the height of the heel – they are made-to-order and handcrafted in Italy with ethics and responsibility. Thus, you have to wait 4 to 8 weeks to receive them. A time of waiting that, beyond serving a collaborative and transparent virtuous circle, deliciously exacerbates desire and then attachment.

Since the grace of a gait or a dance step also depends on ease, Cabeceo favors ultimate comfort, thanks to a unique design formula. Trying on a pair is always a revelation. And that comfort is verified over time, to twirl by day and dance through the night. The leather comes from the best certified Italian tanneries, the insole is lined with memory foam, and the outside is cut from remarkably supple pomiciato leather. The arch’s study required three years of research – and the expert advice of dancers such as the Crazy Horse’s – to sublimate the line of the legs without hindering the movement.

The straps are skillfully placed so as not to impede the mobility of the foot and ankle. The weight of the shoe is astonishingly light – 150 g only for the famous Mina. The heel is perfectly centered in the axis of the spine to ensure stability. Even the top lift is made of a patented mix guaranteeing resistance and durability.
