ITSLIQUID Group is pleased to announce the open call for the 4th edition of BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY 2025, an international exhibition of photography, painting, video art, installation/sculpture and performance art, which will take place in Barcelona, at ITSLIQUID Art Space – Barcelona (click here to learn more on this venue) from May 10 to May 19, 2025.

BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY 2025 analyzes the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary times, through two main sections: MIXING IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.

MIXING IDENTITIES analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its language and infinite ways of expression.

FUTURE LANDSCAPES are abstract, infinite and conceptual, associated with a sense of freedom and infinite extension. Primarily experienced with the mind, spaces redefine their limits and borders, transforming surfaces in an open flow of pure ideas. This section focuses on the concept of the borders and the structures between body, mind and soul, the human identity and the city, the space and the ground.

Artists, photographers, video makers, and performers are invited to submit their works. To take part in the selection, send your works’ submissions with a CV/biography, some still images (for video art), links to videos/films/performances and pictures via e-mail to director@itsliquid.com

BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY 2025 is a contemporary art fair that presents collective and solo projects by leading and emerging international artists. The 4th edition will represent a forum for the direct exchange of ideas and contacts between collectors, artists, photographers, designers and art professionals. The art fair features paintings, sculptures, photography art, installations, video art and live performances.

The participation includes the following services
– exhibition space managed by art professionals
– assisting with customs formalities, international shipping and local transport
– assisting in finding accommodation
– the design and printing of invitation cards, posters
– the global and local press office, publicity, press, banners, totem, etc.
– the realization of the exhibition website and dedicated press releases
– mounting and dismounting of the exhibition
– exhibitions opening event with drinks and food

Ever since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has presented a high-quality selection of collective and solo shows in several locations worldwide, creating a unique opportunity to exchange new ideas and increase and develop the dialogue with a network of art professionals. ITSLIQUID Group continues to shape international art experiences, building a solid platform to exhibit, grow, and gain visibility within contemporary culture, while supporting and promoting the creative journey of each participant. Our projects are designed to encourage dialogue and experimentation, offering space for both emerging and established talents.

The number of works you can submit is unlimited. Participation in the art show requires an entry fee only for selected artworks. Participation is open to artists, architects and designers, associate groups and studios.

Artists interested in taking part in our shows are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organizations, governments and their representatives; the logos of their sponsors will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events.
