ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with EGO’ Boutique Hotel, is pleased to announce the open call for VENICE EXPERIMENTAL VIDEO AND PERFORMING ART FESTIVAL 2022, a one-night event of video and performance art, that will be held in Venice at Palazzo Bembo (click here to learn more on this venue), on April 23 2022, the same opening day of the 59th Venice Biennale of Art.
We invite performers, dancers, video makers and filmmakers to be inspired by the magical power of Venice, to analyze the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness.
VENICE EXPERIMENTAL VIDEO AND PERFORMING ART FESTIVAL 2022 is focused on the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary time. People, backgrounds, societies, progress, cities and all their inputs create hybrid identities, modifying each other and being mixed in prospect to shape a better world.
The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality: a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression.
After many years of research and exhibitions about the evolution of the idea of identity, we ask artists to share their personal tales through videos and performances, to create a link between their personal experience and the audience, to tell us which are the stories and reasons beneath their works.

Ever since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has presented a high-quality selection of collective and solo shows in our locations, creating a unique opportunity to exchange new ideas, increase and develop the art market and the dialogue between collectors, art critics, journalists and art lovers. Making contemporary art accessible to all.
We work in collaboration with a talented network of publishers, dealers, curators and arts professionals, providing artists with customized services and opportunities to have their works exhibited, published and represented through various platforms.
Artists interested in taking part in our shows are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organizations, governments and their representatives; the logos of their sponsors will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events.

OUR LOCATION
ITSLIQUID ART SPACE – Venice Grand Canal, based on the first floor of Palazzo Bembo located in the historic district of San Marco, the heart of Venice, is available to host solo shows and group exhibitions of the most talented emerging and established artists, designers, and architects selected by our professional team among the numerous show participation requests.
Palazzo Bembo is one of the late Gothic Venetian buildings built in the right middle of the famous Canal Grande, a few meters from the renowned Rialto Bridge. Its name comes from the humanist and literary cardinal Pietro Bembo, known for the so-called “linguistic question” during the Italian XV century.
The facade of the building, with all its gothic pentafore, is as fascinating as the interior which is divided into three floors and characterized by large salons. The seventeenth-century staircase overlooks the internal courtyard that leads to the noble floor, where decorations are dating back to the same century, in Baroque style. The exhibition space, on the first floor, overlooks the Canal Grande and the Rialto Bridge, giving a suggestive view both day and night.
