International architecture, video-art, photography, installation and performing art festival

It’s LIQUID Group, in collaboration with International ArtExpo, is selecting all interesting architecture projects, photo works, video/short films, installations and performing art works to include in the next 2014 exhibition:

MORPHOS II, international festival of architecture, photography, video art, installation and performing art which will be held in the prestigious Palazzo Albrizzi in Venice (Italy), from the 18 to the 25 of July 2014. This will be the second event of the festival MORPHOS – Sustainable Empires, organized in Venice in the months between June and November 2014, in the same period of Architecture Biennale.

Experience one of the most exciting art events in Venice. Submit your works of photography, video-art, architecture, installation and performing art for free!

The main concepts of “MORPHOS II” are the unifying power of sustainable architecture and the relationship between man and the city.

The exhibition will be curated by Arch. Luca Curci (Founder of LUCA CURCI ARCHITECTS and It’s LIQUID Group). The whole city of Venice will be involved during the six months of the Architecture Biennale, hosting international investors, architects, designers, collateral art events, conferences and summits.

Palazzo Albrizzi is one of the Venetian aristocracy’s palaces, situated in Cannaregio 4118, near Ca’ D’Oro. Constructed by the famous Capello family, in the 18th century the Palazzo passed into the hands of the Albrizzi family. The palace is the headquarter of ACIT Venezia, one of the most important Italian-German cultural association, and has often been collateral venue of Venice Biennale.

Morphos

Architects/designers are invited to take part in the festival submitting panels, video-architecture works, photos, installations and scale models, about the theme of sustainable architecture and the relationship between man and the city. We imagine a future in which sustainable thinking will be the common ground of every cultures’ architecture expressions, and the hybridization of social and cultural realities will represent the new frontier of our lives. Artists, photographers and video makers are invited to submit photos, video art, installations and performing art works, following the theme of urban identities and hybridization between identities and urban settings in contemporary time. People, backgrounds, societies, progress and all their inputs creates hybrid identities, modifying each other and being mixed in prospect to shape a better world. Artworks will be selected in collaboration with International ArtExpo.

Deadline for applications is July 05, 2014

If you want to have a solo exhibition inside MORPHOS program (from June to November 2014) send us your proposal and we will get in touch with you as soon as we can.

The number of works you can submit is unlimited. The participation in the festival requires an entry fee only for selected artworks. Participation open to: artists, architects and designers, associate groups and studios.

INTERVIEW: SIMONA MUZZI

She has always lived in Bologna but considers herself a citizen of the world. Born in 1962, in 1990 she graduated in Architecture in Florence. He works as an architect. Photography and video artist, in January 2020 she exhibits for the first time unpublished works at Paratissima Bologna Art Fair NEEDS entitled "Incidenti", with which he made his debut for the first time in public. He has participated in several international Call for Entries and Contests with his own conceptual photography works. INTERVIEW: RAF TARNAWSKI

Raf Tarnawski was born 1953 in Wrocław, Poland. In 1976 he moved to Lund, Sweden, where he graduated from the School of Graphic Design and spent several years working with photography, graphics, illustration and advertising. In 2006 he returned back to Warsaw, Poland to study sculpture techniques at the at the Academy of Arts in Professor P. Gawron's workshop. Since then, he has been sculpting full-time and has exhibited his work regularly in multiple solo and group exhibitions. Raf creates the lightening rods to diffuse stress and an escape route from daily desolation. His sculptures are vessels that are filled with emotions and desires: the joy of encounter, heat of the setting sun, or yearning for what might be. He wants to bring order and understanding of basic values that comes from aesthetics and beauty. Read more


INTERVIEW: LAURA SANDRONI

Laura Sandroni was born in Varese in 1985. She approaches art and painting since she was a child, she carries on this passion over the years as a self-taught. His works are used for a strong use of color which she uses as an emotional and communicative vehicle. Over the years his artistic career has been enriched with lived experiences and personal growth that leads to expressing this new maturation and self-knowledge on canvas. His works are the primary channel with which he transmits the changes and emotional states that are part of life, sensations and feelings that feed the soul and body and that often happens in the form of female figures. He prefers acrylic that in many of his creations he uses with the only help of his hands and body, as an extension of his own person and expressive tool. Curious and attentive observer, she transmits what strikes her through painting and writing, showing a strong inclination to experiment and overcome her own internal limits. Read more
