ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is pleased to announce the open call for FUTURE LANDSCAPES, one of the two main sections of CANVAS ART FAIR 2026. The exhibition will take place in Venice, at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello (click here to learn more about this venue), and in other prestigious historical venues, from January 23 to February 06, 2026.

Held during one of the most spectacular and unique moments of the year, the magical Venice Carnival, FUTURE LANDSCAPES invites artists to explore new aesthetic visions, imagining environments where creativity, technology, and human presence merge into limitless spatial possibilities.

Since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has organised over 350 international events, engaging more than 10,000 artists across over 60 global venues. Its initiatives have featured prestigious museums like the CCCB – Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona in Spain, the NCCA – National Centre for Contemporary Arts in Moscow, the MuMo – Museum Montanelli in Prague, and the MUST Museum in Lecce, in addition to numerous galleries and private foundations. Thanks to its partnership with Sedition, ITSLIQUID has presented masters such as Bill Viola and Refik Anadol, offering high-level opportunities for young, mid-career, and renowned artists.

Human creativity always spreads all over the world. For thousands of years, we have applied our imagination and inventiveness to shape our landscapes. Cities are leading to a new aesthetic change that aims to rebalance the combination of humans and nature, not only to restore natural systems and ecological integrity but also to deliver beautiful, engaging and remarkable landscape experiences. Today, we face many challenges that require a big effort in exploring new frontiers to create new, extraordinary places and spaces. We aim to generate future landscapes without mental and physical borders, in which the human being is completely free.

We invite all the artists to immerse themselves in a multisensory exploration and to share their personal artistic research through any kind of media, from painting to sculpture and installation, from photography to video art and live performance.

Artists, photographers, video makers, and performers are invited to submit their works. To take part in the selection, send your works’ submissions with a CV/biography, some still images (for video art), links to videos/films/performances and pictures via e-mail to info@itsliquid.com

The participation includes the following services
– exhibition space managed by art professionals
– assisting with customs formalities, international shipping and local transport
– assisting in finding accommodation
– the design and printing of invitation cards, posters
– the global and local press office, publicity, press, banners, totem, etc.
– the realization of the exhibition website and dedicated press releases
– mounting and dismounting of the exhibition
– exhibition opening event

ITSLIQUID Group has produced to date more than 350 exhibitions worldwide and many impressive art and architecture festivals during the Venice Biennale. The last edition of ANIMA MUNDI ART FAIR took place in Venice in 2024, presenting a great selection of more than 900 artworks realized by 300 artists, coming from 60 countries. Among the last great shows, SURFACES Festival, BORDERS Art Fair, six editions of BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR, 17 editions of CONTEMPORARY VENICE, 16 editions of ROME INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR and 22 editions of VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR, presenting more than 10,000 talented artists, from the emerging to the iconic.

Ever since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has presented a high-quality selection of collective and solo shows in several locations worldwide, creating a unique opportunity to exchange new ideas and increase and develop the dialogue with a network of art professionals. Making contemporary art accessible to all.

ITSLIQUID Group continues to shape international art experiences, building a solid platform to exhibit, grow, and gain visibility within contemporary culture, while supporting and promoting the creative journey of each participant. Our projects are designed to encourage dialogue and experimentation, offering space for both emerging and established talents.

The number of works you can submit is unlimited. Participation in the art show requires an entry fee only for selected artworks. Participation is open to artists, architects and designers, associate groups and studios.

Artists interested in taking part in our shows are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organisations, governments and their representatives; the sponsors’ information will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events.

OUR LOCATION

Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello is one of the most well-known palaces of the Renaissance in Venice. It is a historical building dating back to the 16th century, and it has been owned by several noble Venetian families, as demonstrated by the frescoed ceilings, the artistic stuccos and the fine furniture that enriches its rooms. The Palace welcomes visitors with its beautiful private garden on the ground floor, and then it gathers the guests in its large first-floor salons, in which the past and present dialogue together. The restored Old Masters’ frescoes and the contemporary art masterpieces that are periodically shown in the exhibitions hosted here make Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello the perfect location for the balance between old and new, between ancient environment and contemporary art, architecture and design.

Today, the building is managed by ACIT Venice – the Italian-German Cultural Association – which is considered one of the most important intercultural associations in Europe. Thanks to the ACIT unceasing cultural activity, Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello nowadays has frequent collaborations with the Goethe Institute and with other local and international institutions, maintaining its ancient reputation. Because of these relations, it presents a huge program of memorable art exhibitions, conferences, congresses and concerts. Among the last institutional exhibitions is its participation in the 58th Venice Biennale with the Guatemala pavilion, the Dominican Republic pavilion and the Grenada pavilion. ITSLIQUID Group already had the pleasure to hold some festivals and exhibitions in Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, such as MORPHOS Festival and FUTURE IDENTITIES Festival, both in 2014.
