The main concepts of “MORPHOS – Sustainable Empires” are the unifying power of sustainable architecture and the relationship between man and the city.

The exhibition will be curated by Arch. Luca Curci (Founder of LUCA CURCI ARCHITECTS and It’s LIQUID Group) with a board of international architects, urban planners and designers. The whole city of Venice will be involved during the six months of the Architecture Biennale, hosting international investors, architects, designers, collateral art events, conferences and summits. More venues and curators to be updated.

Palazzo Albrizzi is one of the Venetian aristocracy’s palaces, situated in Cannaregio 4118, near Ca’ D’Oro. Constructed by the famous Capello family, in the 18th century the Palazzo passed into the hands of the Albrizzi family. The palace is the headquarter of ACIT Venezia, one of the most important Italian-German cultural association, and has often been collateral venue of Venice Biennale.

Architects/designers are invited to take part in the festival submitting panels, video-architecture works, photos, installations and scale models, about the theme of sustainable architecture and the relationship between man and the city. We imagine a future in which sustainable thinking will be the common ground of every cultures’ architecture expressions, and the hybridization of social and cultural realities will represent the new frontier of our lives. More details regarding the theme here: www.itsliquid.com/morphos-architecture-venice-2014.html

Artists, photographers and video makers are invited to submit photos, video art, installations and performing art works, following the theme of urban identities and hybridization between identities and urban settings in contemporary time. People, backgrounds, societies, progress and all their inputs creates hybrid identities, modifying each other and being mixed in prospect to shape a better world.
