ROME EXPERIMENTAL VIDEO AND PERFORMING ART FESTIVAL 2026
December 09 – 20, 2026
Deadline: August 31, 2026
ITSLIQUID Group is proud to announce the official selection for ROME EXPERIMENTAL VIDEO AND PERFORMING ART FESTIVAL 2026. Dedicated to showcasing the most innovative languages in video and performance art, the festival will take place in Rome at ITSLIQUID Art Space – Trastevere from December 09 to December 20, 2026, during the 19th edition of ROME INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2026.
Curated by Luca Curci, in collaboration with the Curatorial Board of ITSLIQUID Group, the festival brings together creators working across video art, performance art, sculpture, and installation, offering a platform for experimental practices that challenge traditional formats and explore new forms of perception and presence.
Since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has organised over 350 international events, engaging more than 10,000 artists across over 60 global venues. Its initiatives have featured prestigious museums like the CCCB – Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona in Spain, the NCCA – National Center for Contemporary Arts in Moscow, the MuMo – Museum Montanelli in Prague, and at the MUST Museum in Lecce, in addition to numerous galleries and private foundations. The exhibition focuses on the concept of Alchemical Flow, an immersive exploration of the invisible threads that connect our physical existence with the environments we inhabit. In the spirit of mindfulness, this edition treats digital and performing art as a modern form of “alchemy,” capable of transmuting the chaotic stimulation of the contemporary age into a profound state of balance and resonance.
The festival investigates the human experience through three interconnected realms: BODIES, the alchemy of the self, exploring the body as a temple of breath and movement; PLACES, the alchemy of the environment, analyzing how our surroundings shape our emotional well-being; and SPACES, the alchemy of the mind, navigating virtual and metaphysical dimensions to find inner stillness. The human body is conceived as a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces, acting as a strong communication system to perceive and transform the surrounding reality.
The call is open to performers, dancers, video artists, filmmakers, sculptors, and installation artists interested in developing visionary artistic research within an international contemporary context. Through this immersive experience inside the complex labyrinths of our consciousness, artists are called to reveal the “Alchemical Flow” that guides humankind toward a deeper connection with the self and the world.
Deadline for applications is August 31, 2026 (11.59 PM your local time)

“In my view, ITSLIQUID GROUP plays a pivotal role in today’s contemporary art landscape, particularly in its dedication to promoting voices that are introspective, daring, and emotionally driven. What distinguishes ITSLIQUID is not merely its international presence, but its sensitivity to the artists themselves – to their journeys, internal narratives, and unconventional languages. It is a platform that does not impose a singular aesthetic or trend, but instead embraces diversity in expression, from conceptual experimentation to deeply personal and autobiographical practices. I see ITSLIQUID as an important intersection between emerging and established artists. It acts as a bridge – connecting geographical and cultural distances, while creating a global dialogue grounded in authenticity.“

Fosca Esposito, Italy ★★★★★
“I think ITSLIQUID is a very good platform because it supports unknown artists and gives them the opportunity to be seen. It’s also a bold move because they believe in people solely by looking at their works, without following trends. I thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity! It has been a great pleasure collaborating with you, and I hope to be part of your future events.“
