ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is delighted to present the open call for THE BODY LANGUAGE 2026, a wonderful art exhibition that will take place from January 23 until February 06, 2026, in Venice, during one of the most spectacular and unique periods of the year, the magical Venice Carnival.

As one of the two sections of CANVAS ART FAIR, the exhibition will be hosted in the prestigious Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello (click here to learn more about this venue) and other historical spaces, and will feature international talents in photography, painting, video art, installation, sculpture, and performance art.

Since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has organised over 350 international events, engaging more than 10,000 artists across over 60 global venues. Its initiatives have featured prestigious museums like the CCCB – Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona in Spain, the NCCA – National Centre for Contemporary Arts in Moscow, the MuMo – Museum Montanelli in Prague, and the MUST Museum in Lecce, in addition to numerous galleries and private foundations. Thanks to its partnership with Sedition, ITSLIQUID has presented masters such as Bill Viola and Refik Anadol, offering high-level opportunities for young, mid-career, and renowned artists.

THE BODY LANGUAGE invites artists to analyse the hidden dimensions of identity, exploring the silent dialogue between body, mind, and space. The exhibition reveals how the human body becomes a living map of emotions and memories, a mutable system constantly reshaping itself through contact, perception, and movement. Each gesture, each form, speaks a language beyond words, expressing the infinite possibilities of human connection and transformation within the vast and complex labyrinth of our consciousness.

We invite all the artists to immerse themselves in a multisensory exploration and to share their personal artistic research through any kind of media, from painting to sculptures and installation, from photography to video art and live performance.

Artists, photographers, video makers, and performers are invited to submit their works. To take part in the selection, send your works’ submissions with a CV/biography, some still images (for video art), links to videos/films/performances and pictures via e-mail to info@itsliquid.com

The participation includes the following services
– exhibition space managed by art professionals
– assisting with customs formalities, international shipping and local transport
– assisting in finding accommodation
– the design and printing of invitation cards, posters
– the global and local press office, publicity, press, banners, totem, etc.
– the realisation of the exhibition website and dedicated press releases
– mounting and dismounting of the exhibition
– exhibitions opening event

The number of works you can submit is unlimited. Participation in the art show requires an entry fee only for selected artworks. Participation is open to artists, architects and designers, associate groups and studios.

Artists interested in taking part in our shows are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organisations, governments and their representatives; the sponsors’ information will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events.

OUR LOCATION

Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello is one of the most well-known palaces of the Renaissance in Venice. It is a historical building dating back to the 16th century, and it has been owned by several noble Venetian families, as demonstrated by the frescoed ceilings, the artistic stuccos and the fine furniture that enriches its rooms. The Palace welcomes visitors with its beautiful private garden on the ground floor, and then it gathers the guests in its large first-floor salons, in which the past and present dialogue together. The restored Old Masters’ frescoes and the contemporary art masterpieces that are periodically shown in the exhibitions hosted here make Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello the perfect location for the balance between old and new, between ancient environment and contemporary art, architecture and design.

Today, the building is managed by ACIT Venice – the Italian-German Cultural Association – which is considered one of the most important intercultural associations in Europe. Thanks to the ACIT unceasing cultural activity, Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello nowadays has frequent collaborations with the Goethe Institute and with other local and international institutions, maintaining its ancient reputation. Because of these relations, it presents a huge program of memorable art exhibitions, conferences, congresses and concerts. Among the last institutional exhibitions is its participation in the 58th Venice Biennale with the Guatemala pavilion, the Dominican Republic pavilion and the Grenada pavilion. ITSLIQUID Group already had the pleasure to hold some festivals and exhibitions in Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, such as MORPHOS Festival and FUTURE IDENTITIES Festival, both in 2014.
