VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR – 17TH EDITION

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is pleased to announce the open call for the 17th edition of VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2023 that will take place in Venice at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello (click here to learn more about this venue) from September 21 to October 06, 2023, and in other prestigious venues and historical buildings.

VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR provides artists and exhibitors with the unique opportunity to present their works to an international audience of professionals such as curators, gallerists, collectors, editors and publishers who seek to acquire, publish and encourage the best contemporary art talents.

The participation includes the following services
– exhibition space dedicated to the artist’s works
– assisting with customs formalities, international shipping and local transport
– assisting in finding accommodation
– the design and printing of invitation cards, posters
– the global and local press office, publicity, press, banners, totem, etc.
– the realization of the exhibition website and dedicated press releases
– mounting and dismounting of the exhibition
– exhibitions opening event with drinks and food
– a dedicated interview published on ITSLIQUID website and spread on our social networks
– providing services and drinks for small meetings at the exhibition places for invited guests

VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2023 analyzes the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban contexts in contemporary times, through two main sections: LIQUID ROOMS and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.

LIQUID ROOMS analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality: a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression.

FUTURE LANDSCAPES are abstract, infinite and conceptual, associated with a sense of freedom and infinite extension. Primarily experienced with the mind, spaces redefine their limits and borders, transforming surfaces in an open flow of pure ideas. This section focuses on the concept of boundaries and structures between body, mind and soul, human identity and the city, the space and the ground.

On the same days, we will present VENICE EXPERIMENTAL Video and Performing Art Festival 2023, an art event dedicated to video and performance art, where artists are invited to analyze the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. ITSLIQUID Group has produced until today more than 250 exhibitions worldwide and many impressive art and architecture festivals during Venice Biennale. Among the last great shows, SURFACES Festival, ANIMA MUNDI ART FAIR, BORDERS Art Fair 2021, three editions of BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR, eleven editions of CONTEMPORARY VENICE, eight editions of ROME INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR and 16th editions of VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR, presenting more than 5000 talented artists, from the emerging to the iconic.

Ever since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has presented a high-quality selection of collective and solo shows in our locations, creating a unique opportunity to exchange new ideas and increase and develop the art market and the dialogue between collectors, art critics, journalists and art lovers. Making contemporary art accessible to all.

We work in collaboration with a talented network of publishers, dealers, curators and arts professionals, providing artists with customized services and opportunities to have their works exhibited, published and represented through various platforms.

The number of works you can submit is unlimited. Participation in the art show requires an entry fee only for selected artworks. Participation is open to artists, architects and designers, associate groups and studios.

Artists interested in taking part in our shows are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organizations, governments and their representatives; the logos of their sponsors will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events.

OUR LOCATION

Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello is one of the most known palaces of the Renaissance in Venice. It is a historical building dating back to the 16th century, and it has been owned by several noble Venetian families, as demonstrated by the frescoed ceilings, the artistic stuccos and the fine furniture that enriches its rooms. The Palace welcomes visitors with its beautiful private garden on the ground floor, and then it gathers the guests in its large first-floor salons, in which past and present dialogue together. The restored Old Masters’ frescoes and the contemporary art masterpieces that are periodically shown in the exhibitions hosted here, make Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello the perfect location for the balance between old and new, between ancient environment and contemporary art, architecture and design.

Today the building is managed by ACIT Venice – the Italian-German Cultural Association – which is considered one of the most important intercultural associations in Europe. Thanks to the ACIT unceasing cultural activity, Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello has nowadays frequent collaborations with the Goethe Institute and with other local and international institutions, maintaining its ancient reputation. Because of these relations, it presents a huge program of memorable art exhibitions, conferences, congresses and concerts. Among the last institutional exhibitions, is its participation in the 58th Venice Biennale with the Guatemala pavilion, the Dominican Republic pavilion and the Grenada pavilion. ITSLIQUID Group already had the pleasure to hold some festivals and exhibitions in Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, such as MORPHOS Festival and FUTURE IDENTITIES Festival, both in 2014.
