The creative soul of the brand Cardillo Design is Anna Maria Cardillo, an Italian architect and designer. By making use of her experience in architectural and industrial design, she decides to support, alongside with her work as designer, the passion for “contemporary jewels“.

Cardillo’s creations are the result of careful formal research with a strong anthropological and semantic valor. Anna Maria often prefers simple shapes, with a clear reference to geometrical elements. The research and the use of alternative materials, different from those commonly used in the realization of jewels, characterize her creations, realized entirely handmade, underlining the importance of craftsmanship, the unique piece and the “never the same”.

Since 2014 Anna Maria is a member of AGC – Contemporary Jewelery Association. Her creations are present in galleries, concept stores and fashion stores in Italy and abroad. In January 2017 she participated in the exhibition “Scatenata” during the HOMI exhibition in Milan with “NO DRINK WATER” neckpiece, and than in Milan during the Fashion Week (March 2017) at Museo delle Stelline. In 2016 she participated in the “Gioielli alla Moda”, an international exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan with the “MASAI SET” neckpiece. She’s Selected in January 2015 at the “AGC-JJDA Dialogues” Exhibition Project on contemporary jewelery held in Japan and Italy. Participate in the “Design 20.14” the competition organized by the “Gioiello Dentro” association and is among the winners with the “FRAME” neckpiece.

The first collection “ZERO” presents a careful processing chain, the main element in the world of jewelery, represented in a totally innovative way; necklaces composed of rings and / or links of a chain from massing exuberant, long or choker, all realized with leather and raffia crochet-knitted. The collection of rings “As You Desire Me” handmade assembling elastic strings, in which the elasticity of the material allows to wear the ring in different ways, expresses a high level of adaptability and a comfortable wearability. The collection “MA_SAI”, presented in London at Vibe Gallery, reflects the colors and forms charm of the Masai women collars, inspiring this collection, the exasperating minimalism in chromatic and formal concept. The collection “LOOP”, follows a normal evolution of “MA_SAI” rigid and semi-rigid collar, with the neckpiece highly decorative impact, in which color wins on the apparent provocation.

The materials used in the latest collection, in addition to the leather, include geometric elements in solid wood, combined with balls of cotton and glass. The “capsules” collections through the latest project “CITY”, is a tribute to some of the most important cities on the planet; the first “capsule” collection is “CITY Melbourne series”, characterized by stiff leather collars, embellished with tassel and wood, minimal and essential flavor and vaguely ethno-chic soul. The collection “TALISMANO” refers to the meaning of the ancient Amulets and Talismans, which considered as the first ornaments of the history, worn not for vanity, but for enjoying the signs of the divine benevolence. They are protective, propitiatory and healing jewels, characterized by the “apotropaic” function of removing malignant influences, attracting benign and treating therapeutic properties. The latest collection is “MOON”, dreamy and romantic, with small notes, reveals the fantastic and imaginative world.
