LIAL WORKS is developing the bag brand “CIE”, which proposes “new values” to various people’s lifestyles with the keyword “REAL GOODS”. The brand is based on functionality that meets the needs of the times with minimalistic design. CIE (Cause In Effect) established in 2017 is a new bag brand from Japan launched by Takashi Fujioka, a former designer of master-piece and AS2OV, and Motohiro Nakai, a former designer of AS2OV.

Currently CIE brand is distributed in lifestyle stores and multi-fashion stores such as “Tokyu Hands”, “Luis” and “LOFT”. Many global and Japanese magazines like “Carryology” and “Mono-Max” featured this brand andthe CIE brand has received numerous bag-related awards below. CIE won 1st place overall for Bag of the Year 2024 as Best Buy Gear for Adults Leap Sling Bag.

The main fabric is made of CORDURA POLYYCABONATE developed by INVISTA. The front Fabric is based on CORDURA 305D polyester which is highly resistant to friction, and tearing and uses polycarbonate coating that has stronger friction resistance, light resistance, and hand hydrolysis than regular PU coating. The colors are our original, “BLACK” such as charcoal, “OLIVE”, inspired by sage green seen in military wear of Europe, “GRAY NAVY” inspired by Portugal’s army and “LIGHT GRAY” based on the pale grey of all leather coat from US navy.

Tape detail is made of nylon which is well bound such as military look, and can be hung on carabiners and accessories. Our original piece name is made of satin fabric and is weaved old-fashioned shuttle machine. CORDURA name is our original OLIVE colour that gets approval from INVISTA. The zipper, our original zinc die cast is made by the YKK company.
