Closca is the Valencian brand that, using design and innovation, seeks to make us reflect and inspire a change in habits to generate a positive impact on the planet. The entrepreneur and visionary Carlos Ferrando, created Closca in 2013 with the aim of making us reflect on the damage that our habits generate on the planet. To be aware of our co-responsibility and therefore make us inspire the change of individual behaviors to generate a positive impact on the planet. With Closca products, we are invited not only to reflect, but to share the message so that we act as a society in the face of the problem of climate change. URBAN MOBILITY: Closca Helmet and Closca Helmet Loop. One of the challenges we face daily is pollution in cities. We live in urban environments where more than 91% of the population breathes polluted air above the limits set by the WHO. In view of this situation, Closca Helmet was created in 2013. The only folding helmet on the market inspired by the Guggenheim in Bilbao, it was awarded the RedDot Design Award in 2015 and has become an icon of design, elegance and safety in urban travel in the last mile. And soon after, the Closca Helmet Loop arrived, also folding and with a more urban style to continue promoting sustainable urban micromobility. The challenge #CitiesWithSoul aims to promote the use of alternative and sustainable means of transport, such as bicycles and scooters for daily urban travel, in order to achieve healthier cities without pollution and noise, and therefore, healthier citizens with a better quality of life.
GOODBYE PLASTIC: Closca Bottle, Closca Bottle Wave and Closca Water App. Every second 1500 plastic bottles are discarded worldwide and only 9% of them are recycled. This causes almost 8 million tons of plastic to reach the oceans every year. Closca Bottle was born in 2017 with the purpose of teaching us that it is possible to live without plastic bottles to drink water. Inspired by women’s fashion and with the Red Dot Design Award (2018) it is a unique bottle. Its design, with silicone coating and clamp allows you to take it wherever you want. In addition, Closca Bottle also incorporates an NFC chip that allows you to connect to Closca Water App (available at Apple Store and Google Play) which already has more than 200,000 fonts worldwide. With it you will be able to find the closest fountains, refill them and receive prizes for not using plastic. In 2020 Closca Bottle Wave is born, a careful design and a powerful message: we must take care of the planet and free it from the plastic that is choking it. With the patented silicone system to take it wherever you want, its thermo function (24h cold and 12h hot) and its silky touch, as well as the NFC technology, it is the perfect stainless steel bottle for any daily activity. With the challenge #MyLastPlasticBottle emerges a global movement to end the plastic pollution that floods the rivers, seas and oceans of the planet.
AIR POLLUTION and COVID-19: Closca Mask and Closca Mask Kids. Closca Mask in 2020 not as a new fashion accessory, but as a symbol of reflection and social change: Closca Mask as an icon of an empathetic and united society. Because the global pandemic we have experienced has taught us that together we are stronger and that collective action is necessary to achieve a positive impact. The aim of Closca Mask is to raise awareness of the need to protect others by protecting oneself. And that we reflect on the world we want to leave to our children: that they do not have to wear a mask again. Because the little ones have shown a unique courage and resilience and therefore, from Closca, we wanted to honor them with Closca Mask Kids and El Club de los Valientes. A clear and direct message: they have taught us to be brave without losing our smile in the hardest and most complicated moments.
