CONTEMPORARY VENICE – ITSLIQUID International Art Show has been inaugurated on December 07, 2017 at Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi, presenting the selected artworks of painting, photograhy, installation, sculpture, video-art and performance art works of artists, coming from all over the world.
The exhibition will be opened until January 18, 2017, attending many national and international visitors.

CONTEMPORARY VENICE exhibition at Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi is organized and curated by Arch. Luca Curci (director of ITS LIQUID Group) and Andrea Chinellato (director of Ca’ Zanardi).

Italian artist Tobia Dal Maso presents his sculpture “Buonanotte”, that represents a baby head, created by terracotta.
Born in Arzignano (VI) in 1987. He has been interested in drawing since childhood, but the encounter with sculpture takes place later as self-taught on wooden material. Subsequently he attended courses of sculpture where he learns to model various materials (terracotta, plaster, plasticine…). His artistic research revolves around the human and animal figures.

Danielle van Ameijde, coming from The Netherlands exhibits her painting “Transition II“, part of a diptych, is a project in which she focuses on on the cycles of life, the threshold of life and death, using the dying plant as a visual metaphor. According to her idea “she is fascinated by what lies hidden behind the physical matter of an organism. I attempt to fathom the essence of life, the place where the manifestation of the soul dwells, visibly as well as invisibly.”

Philipp Rudolf Humm a Belgian/German painter and sculptor, based in London, presents his paintings “Spring” and “Abdication“. The artworks by Humm are very appreciated from the Art Critics, because he combines Pop Art and Expressionism to a new form of art. In fact his art has been evalueted by Edward Lucie Smith, who labelled it “Pop Expressionism“.
“Humm’s paintings succeed, very often, because they offer the viewer an echo chamber, one that resounds with cultural references, ancient and modern.” – Edward Lucie-Smith, art critic.

Austrian artist and architect Emir Ramovic is selected to exhibit the series “Gedankenwanderung” (travelling thoughts), that is an experiment of the drawing process and its controlled uncertainty. A struggle of an abandoned and isolated thought, narrowed down by its own nature, endlessly marching beyond the spatial boundaries, through the tunnel of life. As a self-taught Painter, with a Master degree in Architecture, he experimented in the last decade with different methods of design, painting and drawing techniques, always questioning the perception concepts behind it. Lead by the inner desire, his main artistic interest is directed to the exploration and discovery of the inner world and its connection and influence on our surrounding and ultimately on ourselves.

Yasmin Mazloom, an Iranian visual artist who lives in USA, shows the video art “Poem of the drops“. She created the video using a high-speed camera. This allows Yasmin to capture moments that are occurring so quickly that they are invisible to the eyes. With this work, Yasmin reflects on her life and according her brief video synopsis “I see that simply because I am not aware of something–that simply because my eyes did not detect it–does not mean it never took place. We miss so many moments, ignore so many existences, but that does not mean they are not real.”

Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi is a residential palace dating back to the 16th century which, over the centuries, has been added on to by various noble Venetian families and is one of the most evocative and beautiful palaces in the city of Venice; the Serenissima. Sumptuous and possessing particular charm, Ca’ Zanardi is located in a most peaceful setting and has its own delightful private garden as well as a magnificent terrace full of sun and colour. Ca’ Zanardi is located close to the Ca’ D’Oro, the splendid 15th century gothic palace along the Grand Canal. It is located off the main tourist drag but is still easily reachable by foot, after a two minute walk from the Ca’ D’Oro water bus stop, or by boat using the palazzo’s private pier positioned along the fetching Santa Caterina canal. The refined elegance of the palazzo’s halls and common areas and the delicacy of its original 16th century furnishings create a fascinating setting.
