“La vita in uno scatto” by Enzo Lattanzio

The opening event of the photographic exhibition and book presentation of “Antologica – fotografie 1968/2023” by the Italian photographer Enzo Lattanzio, will take place on April 12, 2024, at 06:00 PM, in Bari at Kursaal Santalucia Theatre, featuring the participation of RAI television journalist Francesco Giorgino and art historian Christine Farese Sperken. The exhibition will run until April 27, 2024.

The photographs displayed highlight the versatility of the author through the strength and humanity they spread, focusing on different aspects of the author’s cultural life, ranging from dance to theatre, from fashion to travel and portraiture, unveiling the photographer’s need to find a deeper meaning that grasps the true soul of the subject.

Of particular importance are the shots documenting the historic invasion of Prague in 1968, as they are among the few indelible testimonies of that dramatic event. Furthermore, the images that Enzo Lattanzio dedicates to Petruzzelli’s theatrical activity and to the greatest artists of our time, as well as being proof in Italy and abroad of the great attention that the city of Bari pays to culture, depict, as he claims: “a rapid gesture, almost lightning, unconscious, that represents the epilogue of long reasoning, a reflection, a research of a journey of the eye and the mind” each piece encloses “a life in a shot“.

With his photographic exhibition, Enzo Lattanzio contributed to the realization of the cultural project promoted by the therapeutic community “Lorusso Cipparoli”.
