The future of hydration is here

The new EQUA Smart Water Bottle builds your healthy hydration habits with the help of smart features. A smart water bottle provides hydration guidance, combining aesthetics and latest technology. EQUA brand was founded in 2010 as a result of love for nature and healthy lifestyle. The team believes in the goodness of mankind and promotes nature reservation through designing water bottles. The idea was and still is to change people’s mindset by encouraging the mass to replace disposable bottles for reusable ones. EQUA brand is quality and style captured in a (reusable) bottle. The EQUA family grows bigger every year in means of product versatility and the number of team members. Headquartered in Slovenia, the company is committed to changing people’s behaviour and lifestyle.

It’s been ten years since EQUA team has been observing thousands of its clients drink gallons of water from their water bottles. The customer feedback and their personal experience triggered an idea that stretches beyond a simple water container. With EQUA – Smart Water Bottle they developed a product that makes hydration one less thing to worry about. This smart water bottle will remind the user it’s time to take a sip of water with a subtle glow and track the overall water intake while building healthy hydration habits.

As little as 2% loss in our bodies water content can result in dehydration. This can lead to health-related issues such as headaches, lack of concentration, irregular digestion, even over eating. One of the observations the EQUA team made was that more than half of their users have experienced unreasonably low energy levels, poor performance on their workplace and headaches at the end of the day. Those were all consequences of people not drinking enough water and/or not spreading their water consumption regularly throughout their day.

EQUA Smart Water Bottle uses smart features for more control over your daily water intake. “You are an individual that deserves and requires a personalised hydration plan. Our bottle in combination with the app enables you just that”, said Anze Miklavec, co-founder and CEO. EQUA smart hydration assistant connects with your smartphone via Bluetooth to enhance your hydration process with the EQUA app. Once you set your personal characteristics and lifestyle, the app will generate a personalised hydration program with the recommended daily water intake. The app allows for changes in the frequency and intensity of visual reminders and it tracks your hydration levels.

The idea behind EQUA Smart Water Bottle was to also enable you to take a break from the electronic clutter that surrounds us, but still offer you smart notifications when you need them – a subtle yet effective glow on the bottom of the bottle will remind you it’s time for another sip of water. And if you’re not sure whether you’re keeping up with your daily hydration goal, a smart gesture (a gentle tap on the bottle) will reveal how well you are doing without the need to check your phone.

“We put extra attention to details and user experience of every product we design. The smart bottle is a result of eight years of experience, customer feedback and our own design evolution and development” said Stella Korosec, co-founder and CMO. Minimalistic in shape and color, EQUA Smart Water Bottle is crafted with a combination of light and durable stainless steel, visually rich marble top and metallic handle. With three color options – white, rose and dark grey – this smart and functional water bottle will also keep the content cold for up to 24 hours and warm for up to 12 hours.

The core team of EQUA has a glowing resume when it comes to crowdfunding with two extremely successful Kickstarter campaigns already behind them. They started with the unique GOAT Mug, followed by GINA Smart Coffee Instrument and now they returned in grand style and presented this evolution in hydration to Kickstarter early adopters. The “smart” comeback happened in mid-May 2018, where they gained a world debut and successful funding of the campaign itself.
