Ambretta Rossi

Ambretta Rossi was born in Cremona but now she lives and works in Turin. She has always been interested in different kinds of artistic and artisanal creations; she mastered watercolor painting, which she feels is very suitable for her personality, but she also utilizes techniques of charcoal and chalk. She has attended Pinetta Gramola’s classes in the past. Since 2000, she has attended water painting classes held by the painter Luciana Bey Afterward, she has attended classes with Mr. Lo Balzo. In 2018 she joined a stage held by Willliam Tode and in 2022 she joined a stage by the Russian water painter Ekaterina Maltseva.

She also joined other artists’ groups such as “Il Cavalletto” and “Cultura No Stop”. She is currently a member of the association “Gli Amici dell’Arte“, which resides in Pianezza (TO), “Go Art Factory” and “Piemonte artistico e culturale” in Turin. She has attended several competitions, both extemporary and collectives (mainly in Piemont, but also in Rome, Milan, Florence, Padua, Mantova, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Palermo, Barcelona, Paris, and Budapest), earning different prizes and recognitions. She won third place during the International Competitive Exhibition in Bologna, in 2020.

She displayed pieces in five personal exhibitions: in Pianezza (TO) in 2017, in Turin in 2018, in both 2020 and 2021 (at the exhibition area “Rinascenza Contemporanea”), and in 2022 (cultural association “TeArt”). Some of her works have been added to Mondadori’s “Annuario Artisti ‘19”, “Annuario Artisti ‘20”, “Annuario artisti ’22”.

    SOULS OF VENICE

    "Anime di Venezia – Souls of Venice" is the new creation of Italian-American artist Lorenzo Quinn, which will be on display in Venice from 20th April to 15th September 2024, commemorating the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s death and coinciding with the 60th Art Biennale. Comprised of 15 statues made of a metallic mesh weave of thousands of links, the installation presents some of the most significant ‘Souls’ that have lived over the centuries of the Venetian Republic, traditionally known as La Serenissima.
