I’m Selma Imrenk, an illustrator and art admirer who began her journey after winning 1st place at the 8th FIDA Awards by Fidaworldwide. My work is based on digital drawing, where I explore emotional states through both delicate and bold lines, as well as textures that can be soft or striking.

Recently, I have started to expand my practice into the world of virtual reality, driven by the wish to discover new forms and impressions beyond traditional boundaries. My creative process is intuitive, shaped by emotions, memories, and the balance between beauty and disruption.

Whether simple or detailed, each artwork is an attempt to express something that cannot be easily said – a feeling, a look, or a moment between thoughts. Through my art, I aim to create a space where softness and strength come together, and where the invisible becomes visible.

My works are created through inspiration and intuition. I get inspired by emotions, nature, music, memories, and also by photographs or things I see in everyday life. I don’t usually plan what I will draw – the process happens naturally and often in the moment.

Sometimes the result is full of details, and sometimes it’s very simple. The details can have meaning, but they don’t always need to. That’s something I find interesting:

What is art, really?
When does it start?
Where does it come from – and who decides what it means?

For me, art is a way to express something that cannot be said with words. It’s a feeling, a thought, or a moment that becomes visible through lines, shapes, and textures.
