“Painting for me is moving scenes, views fro reality to canvas, incorporating colours, shapes and textures and at the same time including a part of me as well, so that at that point it becomes original”.

Susan was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, while pursuing a career in teaching and interior design, she was already painting. She attended Art Classes in London and Florence, Italy, where she now lives in the Tuscan countryside following her dream: painting. With her natural instinct and passion for colours the vineyards, olive groves, flowers, cypress trees, rolling hillsides, inspired her.

In the early ’90s, following her passion, she moved to London and then to Italy. In Europe, she attended numerous art courses, perfecting her own painting technique that today identifies her with a completely original style. Her extensive experience, passion, and love for art, combined with the inexhaustible source of inspiration that is Tuscany, constitute the ingredients of her artistic practice today. An art that is always evolving, where colors narrate her emotions and feelings, and where the landscapes, vines, olive trees, churches, and farmhouses of Tuscany speak to us of a love for Beauty as a philosophy of life.
