“My first encounter with drawing and painting happened when I was 12 years old in Yerevan, Armenia, where I was born. I had enrolled in a youth art studio, where I learned the fundamental principles of how to draw and paint figures and still life in a traditional style – how to describe a form, light and shadow.

I believe that when we create art, we connect with our soul and express our unique vision of the world, which brings joy and harmony to the viewer. Painting is healing for both, the creator and the viewer”.

Nataly Kenny is an artist living in London. She was born in Yerevan, Armenia. In 2001, she immigrated to England. After her early retirement, she had more time to spend on her art creation. Her preferred style of painting is impressionism, and her favourite medium is oil, but she also likes painting in acrylics, gouache, and soft pastels. She is fascinated by light and shadow interplay. She loves painting landscapes, portraits, and figures. Her art brings her joy, harmony and hope. She admires artists like Monet, Dega, Van Gogh, Sorolla, Sargent, and Zorn. She hopes her artworks are as healing for the viewer as they are to her.

The gentle harmony that radiates each of her painting immerses the observer in a heavenly atmosphere where it is possible to express great moods. Every detail reflects Nataly’s refinement and passion for nature: this balanced delicacy is inextricably combined with a chromatic contrast that creates vitality and dynamism. The graceful and at the same time decisive brushstrokes are freed from the real dimension, taking on their own connotation within each pictorial surface: in this way, it is possible to notice a perpetual movement that dematerializes the shapes, which are defined by the vivid presence of color. Everything conveys sinuosity and energy, enhancing the rhythmic sense of the composition.

“Following these last few years of art study and experimentation, I now feel that I am an established artist and I’m ready to share my works with the wider world and I hope that you enjoy what you find on these pages. I also hope that my story will encourage others to overcome all limiting beliefs and start painting now! It is never late!”
