Jerome Chia-Horng Lin, artist from Taiwan, shows the video art work: “The Path of Water“, a 3D animation, that consists of many metaphors within a variety of moving images. So according to the artist’s concept “There is no solid storyline. The theme actually reflects my mental responses towards the world, conveying my value system throughout years of experiences. This work somehow implied that water has its own will, deciding where to flow regardless of any obstacle it may encounter. It will detour or penetrate in order to reach its destination… The second half of the animation is talking about the interaction of water with life forms where a dancer is performing in this composition.”

The artist Alessandra Sequeira, born in Costa Rica, exhibits her acrylic ink on Stratford paper’s work: “DIT“. In her works she proposes roots of empathy. “She dreamt that life is made of lines of intention. Sometimes we are ink, sometimes we are roots or branches, but always entangled.. Life is an intertwined natural phenomenon, as in her artwork, raw silk, rice paper. Stratford paper and canvas are the holders of this encounter. “
Elisabeth Ajtay, American artist, proposes her video art “My Neocortex“, a short video using the light of the moon in combination with the alphabet that is created with the moonlight. According the concept of the artist: “The voice is made up of our physical presence that isn’t defined by language but as being heard, present and received in orientation to the other bodies…Breaking down the voice in different ways places the tentacle as the exploratory force that are then dropped, destroyed, chained up and melted down by the intensity of the environment.”

Korte tries to discover our relationship with artificial lights and darkness. “

The Belgium artist Yves De Bodt presents a series of works, inspired by “a creation of a new world”: “Matrix“, “Morphogenetic process“, “Silent birth”, “Metaphysical experience” and “Reflection“. According to the idea of the artist “these 5 paintings, can be seen as individual silent witnesses of metaphysical experiences. But by presenting them as one they can be considered as a concept for a new world, build on the following thought experiment. Our body contains billions of cells. There are hundreds of different types of cells and their uses are specific to each type of cell. My theorem is based on a hypothetical particular cell, that transcends all the well-known body cells. I call it the matrix cell.”

The Sweden artist Amy Oestlund exhibits the photo work “Floating leaf” during the event. She had from early years a great interest in Photography and from the age of 14, she spent a lot of time in the darkroom developing her own Black & White films and making prints. “Most of her images are rather bold – according to her idea – and they are rarely portraying any people and it has become natural for her to end up in the categories landscape and architectural photography.”
Simon Raffy, Frech artist presents the experimental video art “The Essence Of Flow“, produced in collaboration with BioArt Laboratory. This video shows the sensual language of the flows, beyond the hydrodynamic equations. “It is an ambivalent symbol between the ephemeral and the constant, violent or relaxing. The soap films interact with light to create colors. This physical phenomenon allows to see the flow. The Essence of flow opens a window to the hydrodynamic. There is laminar flows, turbulent flows and the boundary condition in front of your eyes. This project is located between the research of a contemplative state and the hydrodynamic technologies. Thisis the constant duality of my work.”
