Femea Milano launches its collection of floating bags. The new bags – very colorful – seem sculpted by the waves of the sea. They blend architecture and design, in the style of the Maison. Thus was born the second collection of Femea Milano, the floating bags, fluctuating bags, precisely, precious envelopes that seem sculpted by the waves of the sea and shaped by the wind. The floating bags, 100 percent made in Italy, “play” metaphorically – between curves, straight lines, and reflections – with the primary elements of nature. Fire, first of all, or the light they reflect in their “folds”, the energy, creativity, and dynamism of which they are intrinsic, but fire is also the symbol of passion, therefore the expression of attention to detail. Then, the air is associated with the breath of life and a symbol of communication, perception, and movement. Water, is a symbolic element of fluidity and change. Finally, the earth. “Our bags blend architecture, design, and shape, becoming real geometries to wear”, explain the architect Fabiana Scrudato and the manager Luca Cantele, minds of Femea Milano, a couple of creatives with twenty years of experience in the world behind them in the world of luxury design and in the curriculum collaborations with some of the most famous brands on a global level such as Fendi, Trussardi, Bentley, and Bugatti. “The idea is to provide a work à porter, potentially capable of giving the same pleasure and well-being that you feel when looking at a landscape. Floating bags are not simple bags, but a vital impulse, where the force lines of the material are transformed and emanate energy“, specify Scrudato and Cantele.

The organic form as an architectural element, the irregular surface, and the highlighting of the staggered planes are all elements that combine to create a continuous movement. The geometry of the bag is represented by a twisted shape, with the dimensions and orientation of the planes varying along the horizontal axis, according to defined mathematical expressions. Light too, as we said, is an element not to be underestimated: depending on the point of view, it creates an emotional and dramatic involvement that is part of the expressive methodologies of deconstructivist architecture, that is to say, an infinite space within a volume: confined. Immediate associations with names that have made the history of design such as Zaha Hadid, Daniel Liebeskind, and Antonio Gaudì.

Four models are available, all in genuine leather, and vegetable dyed. They all combine fashion and architecture.
