Flyte

Flyte is a global design and innovation company that combines minimalism, art and technology. We create objects that levitate in the air and produce high-quality design items. Our goal is to push the boundaries of what is possible for us and for our customers to create real magic through design. Today Flyte is the leading company for premium levitating design and is the creator of the world’s first levitating light bulb.

FLYTE set out on a journey to set the light bulb free, launching its bulb on a balloon to capture light in its most precious moments. ARC is the latest creation from the Scandinavian design brand FLYTE, known for its collection of gravity-defying lights, planters and clocks. Venturing beyond their range of levitating products, ARC is FLYTE’s first designer LED light bulb, inspired by the Nordic climate and crafted with minimalist elegance and stunning efficiency.

Designed for interiors, ARC fits into any E27/E26 socket and is fully dimmable, making it a perfect addition to your home, office, hotel or restaurant. Unlike most LED filaments, ARC’s light guide spreads the light, forming different intensities – like a fire keeping us warm at night during our cold winters. ARC consists of a light guide design, which casts light over a curved surface, offering a warm 2200K temperature with varied richness and texture. Withstanding the elements, ARC’s energy-efficient light-emitting diodes have a life expectancy of 30,000 hours. That’s about 14 years at 6 hours per day.

LYFE is a zero-gravity growing system, that allows you to cultivate your favourite plants in mid-air. LYFE consists of a rotating planter that hovers over an oak base, suspended via magnetic levitation. Best suitable for Air Plants, LYFE provides a way to display your house plants in style. Identified by the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, Air Plants are plants that grow in the air. Air Plants thrive upon the circulation of airborne particles; with no soil required, our gravity-defying and rotating microclimate naturally nurtures. Many studies have shown that magnetic fields accelerate the ripening of certain fruits and change the mitochondria in cells enhancing your plant’s metabolism.

The magnetic field of the Earth has powerful effects on all life forms, especially plants. LYFE isolates and concentrates magnetic poles allowing you to suspend your plants on a cushion of air. Designed to gently rotate during suspension, LYFE nourishes life with 360 degrees of sunlight exposure, 365 days a year.
According to the NASA clean air study, placing 1 plant for every 100 sq. ft / 9 square meters in an office or home increases air quality, filters toxins and decreases stress levels. With LYFE, transform your home into a garden of free-floating life forms. A conversational piece that will impress your friends, and make heads turn.

Merging the words fly, light, and the Swedish word for float, Flyte creates luminous spectacles that combine the wonders of magnetic levitation with wireless power. A lifelong passion that finally got off the ground, Flyte’s collection of gravity-defying lights and standalone products are a testament to lofty design. We are a team of creatives, designers, engineers with a passion for creating high-end products with the ultimate wow factor. Our mission is to create unique and innovative designs that inspire our imagination and spark wonder and curiosity.

As the creators of Flyte, the original levitating light, we’ve pioneered the way with new patented-protected innovations using magnetic levitation and wireless power sparking a levitation trend around the world. We have grown from a small passion project into an award-winning design team that stand proudly behind our family of innovative products.
