Flyte
Levitating, innovative and high-design products for your home

Merging the words fly, light and the Swedish word for float, FLYTE creates luminous spectacles that combine the wonders of magnetic levitation with wireless power.

Founded in 2015, after it exceeded the funding goal for its first levitating light bulb on Kickstarter, FLYTE has now become the leading levitation design company.

When FLYTE founder Simon Morris was 16 years old, he dreamed of having a hover board. He became so fascinated with magnetic levitation that he began building his own prototypes with magnets. 15 years later he had managed to make everything from Nike shoes to speakers hover in the air and was in need of a new challenge. So he began experimenting with Nikola Tesla’s theories of wireless power – this is when the Flyte levitating light bulb was born.

The FLYTE floating art pieces include Flyte levitating light bulb, Lyfe levitating planter, a state of the art Story timepiece with a levitating sphere to reflect the magic of time and your most important journeys, and now a levitating sphere called Buda Ball – designed to lower your stress levels.

FLYTE products are unique design items with a magic touch. It is special in the sense that combines two technologies: magnetic levitation and induction. Two technologies that both have many constraints. FLYTE has managed to successfully and carefully balance the two, creating objects that are virtually frictionless and freely rotate in space.
