With 19 consecutive years as one of North America’s leading design conferences and as the first global design fair of the year, the Interior Design Show (IDS17) is an annual catalyst to discover the latest design trends and innovations from across Canada and around the globe. The Interior Designer Show curators have forecasted some of the top trends for 2017 inspiring the direction of design for the year to come.

Continuing the show’s tradition of celebrating industry change makers, IDS17 is thrilled to announce architect David Adjaye, principal of Adjaye Associates, as the 2017 International Guest of Honour. Adjaye’s CV boasts multiple prestigious commissions, including the Nobel Peace Centre in Oslo, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, and the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo

The Nan Tien Education and Cultural Centre is a tertiary facility and multicultural art gallery in Wollongong, Australia. Situated opposite of the Nan Tien Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere, the new building sits on the former site of a landfill bought by the Nan Tien Institute from the council for one Australian dollar.
