Luca Curci – How did you get to your current artistic practice?
Angelica Porrari
– My current research, Gloves’Stories, started 15 years ago, at the time of the Academy of Fine Arts. Since then I have never stopped doing photography, performance, and video art. These are how I investigate my thoughts and the world I observe.

LC – What is art for you?
AP
– For me, art is the means for a deeper analysis of reality. Art brings out what is not perceptible on the surface.

LC – What is the role that the artist plays in society? And contemporary art?
AP
– In society the artist is fundamental. You open new paths of knowledge, and new truths, look where humanity does not observe or where it does not want to look. She delves deeper into reality and emotions, inside oneself.

LC – What is the most challenging part about creating your artwork?
AP
– The most difficult part of my work, even if it is difficult to achieve, is conception. Design independent of implementation is the hardest part. Often we imagine what we can do. Designing what you don’t know how to create, without imaginative constraints, is often much more complicated.

LC – How is your creative process?
AP
– Thinking, conceptual ideation, visual ideation, draft. Preparation of the set, shooting, and post-production follows.

LC – What is the message linked to the artwork you have shown at this event? How is it connected to the theme of the entire exhibition?
AP
– The theme of the exhibition was the relationship between the body and space. “Time of Rebirth” is the work that I have exhibited. In this work, I have created a pre-birth place where the world remains outside. Water as a place-time where you are yourself and out of which you are no longer so. A place that is also an hourglass where the water determines the time that has been and what will be. In this work, we see reflections that refer to another time in which the water retains the memory.

LC – Do you agree with our vision of art and what do you think about the theme of the exhibition?
AP
– The theme of the exhibition “the relationship between body and space” is very similar to my research. Now, more than any other historical moment I have experienced, it is important. The body and the whole being needed to relate to what surrounds them. This is also a fundamental theme of my entire Gloves’Stories project where the glove, a metaphor for man, is a shifting limit. It moves forward and backward, which overturns by inverting what is inside with what is there. is out. An unknown limit, imperceptible, like skin, which lies between action and sensation. I look for the inner echo of a gesture and the relationship with the outside.

LC – Do you think ITSLIQUID Group can represent an opportunity for artists?
AP
– Yes, it was very stimulating to work with you, a rare opportunity for free art, welcomed by both sides. It’s a pleasure.

LC – Would you suggest a collaboration with us? What do you think about our services?
AP
– Yes, the advice. Itsliquid Group team is brilliant, very efficient and helpful. Prepared people and wonderful locations.

LC – What do you think about the organization of our event?
AP
– Flawless. The location of Palazzo Bembo is wonderful. I will be happy to be part of the artists on the show and also for future events organized by Itsliquid Group. I look forward to future events with great curiosity.
