Luca Curci
talks with Anna Weichselbaumee during LONDON CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR 2022, at THE LINE Contemporary Art Space, and during CONSCIOUSNESS, second appointment of ANIMA MUNDI, at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello.

Painting is not just painting. It is colorful, diverse, and moves something. Go on a search for who you are. There are questions like: What do you want and where do you get to that move you. How do external and internal perceptions work together? Are you automatically one? There is so much more. Stimulate, absorb, crazy, colorful, crooked, simple, and straight in its technology – all of this can be painted. On the one hand, it is the imagination and the dream, on the other hand, it can also move and draw attention. In a large room that is there through painting, The question automatically arises: where are you standing, what really moves you? And where do you want to go”.

LC – How is being an artist nowadays?
AW –
That is different, the beginning can be fertile, it always depends on the topic and the disputes.

LC – Can you explain something about the artworks you have in our exhibition?
AW –
The picture “Mother with Child” is about the new mother picture that is very popular in my generation. In one hand the child, on the back of the swords backs, and behind it the hurricane. But it shouldn’t call emancipation into question. Maybe we have to break new ground again.
