Interview: Ary Wertheir

Luca Curci talks with the artist Ary Wertheir during Pixels of Identities exhibition in Almeria, Spain.

Luca CurciWhen did you start practicing art and why?

Ary Wertheir – Art has always been around in my family, since I was very young I have memories of artistic expression; music too is a constant in my life and I have always been in contact with it.

L. C. –  Can you talk about your artistic work? Which are your inspirations?

A. W. – The work we are developing now, called Plankton, is a passage to the underworld of conciousness with music and a series of proyections alternating in constant movement. Plankton is a wonderer, a seeker of truth in the oceanic mysteries of life which gives us a path to find a window to nature through the absurd, the pure, the aleatoric and the remains of the human society as a whole. The main inspirations are nature itself, music, society and everything that vibrates in the universe.

L.C. What was the best advice given to you as an artist?

A. W. – To find a path and to follow it, no matter what it is. That an artist doesn’t rise from one day to another, that true inspiration comes with hard work and that it is a privilige to do in life what one loves.

L. C. What is art for you?

A. W. –  It is the possibility to create or to develop concepts with different tools, but most importantly, doing art which comes from within with passion and love is a true realization.

L. C.  What do you think about International ArtExpo organization?

A. W. – It’s a great platform for emerging artists which gives us the opportunity to show our work around the world, and to be in contact with different artists, it’s great!

L. C. Do you think International ArtExpo organization can represent an opportunity for artists?

A. W. – Of course!

INTERVIEW: BIRGIT GÜNTHER

Interviews | November 16, 2020

I studied interior design with painting at Prof. Manfred Hollmann at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich. I was born 1962 in Ludwigsburg, Germany, and I have been living and working in Munich for over 35 years. I find inspiration for my painting in nature and through people which I interpret in different ways. Colors, color compositions, color sensations and spatial effects are important of my work, which should reflect the joy of life. A certain motif is not always easily recognizable in the abstract paintings. The viewers are invited to feel lightness, openness or tensions and to let their emotions run free. I am a member of a professional group of female painters. We meet annually and discuss new techniques with lecturers and develop and improve our painting skills. Read more

Interviews | November 15, 2020

Rainer Pierson is a painter from Germany, who focuses on landscape paintings, with a special style in watercolor. The real art for him is reading and feeling landscapes, reducing them to a minimum. Through sensations and imaginations, with puristic, minimalist and impressionist styles, he wants to explore the intimate relationship between himself with his beloved homeland by building a deep connection unconsciously between body, soul and space.
