Interview: Corinne RZ Photographie

Luca Curci talks with Corinne RZ photographie during CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2018 at Misericordia Archives

For me, the joy of photography is the exhilarating feeling acquired from the unique sensation of having captured a magic moment in time and then being able to immortalize and share it! However, this is often only a subjective and ultimately very personal sensation that can be shared with very few people, if any. The mark of an accomplished photographer is the ability to emotionally connect to the greater number through his work. I prefer to risk sacrificing the rigid rules of pure technique and rather embrace the freedom of fantasy that the art of photography allows us to reveal, as long as the desired emotion I wish to convey is still evident !..

INTERVIEW: HEIKE-ANGELA BALTRUWEIT

Interviews | October 12, 2020

I am looking for abstract compositions in my surroundings to capture them photographically. The objects and situations are neither changed, arranged nor manually illuminated, nor are they subsequently edited on the computer, even the detail is identical to the shot. All pictures are 'Pure Photography'. I see my surroundings as a 'natural exhibition space'. I find works of art on the pavement, on building walls, in the water and in factory buildings. These works of art are fixations of the moment and therefore difficult to reproduce. A different angle of view, a changed incidence of light, and the colours, bizarrely changed forms have disappeared. Read more
