My name is Darko Trajanović, I have PhD in Painting, obtained in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. I exhibited in over 50 collectives and 28 individual exhibitions at home and abroad. I am a visual and multimedia artist. I create works in various media such as paintings, objects, installations, performances and video works. Within my art projects, I explore the phenomenon of the visual and the spatial. My artistic research is based on art objects, the needs of modern man and connections with new technologies. So, space, light and movement are key categories that I represent and explore in my works.

Luca Curci – Do you have any habits or rituals while you work?
Darko Trajanović I do not have any specific habits or rituals. While I create, it looks more like engineering. Also, the studio, in which I create my works, is more reminiscent of an engineer or digital studio.

LC – What are you currently working on?
DT –
I am currently working on several different projects, which will be created in several different media such as video, image and photography. I combine classic media with digital. Certain shapes are created, through lights and shadows, whether they are abstract or figurative.

LC – How is your creative process?
DT –
In my creative process, there is a certain system and methodology of work. I start, first, from the topic or a specific task. Then I do some research and collection of materials related to the topic. Next, I determine the media which would be the most appropriate to present that work or project.

LC – Are your artworks focused on a specific theme?
DT –
There are always certain topics in my work that I deal with. Certainly, the central theme is the man, space, time and their mutual interaction.

LC – What is the message linked to the artwork you have shown in this event? How is it connected to the theme of the entire exhibition?
DT –
I have presented the artwork “Nude Line” at this exhibition. It is a video work directly connected with the topic of Body Language, which presented a young naked female body. In fact, the outlines are shown and the emphasis is on the body line. The camera moves in such a way that suggests drawing lines that the female body reflects. Hence the name “Nude Line”.

LC – What are your suggestions about our services? Is there something more we can provide to artists?
DT –
You are great. I am sure that you will be better and better with new media and new video platforms.

LC – What is your idea about ITSLIQUID GROUP?
DT –
ITSLIQUID GROUP is a group of young people gathered around a great idea. They are excellently acquainted with contemporary tendencies in art, but which also proved as great organizers. I believe that they will have extraordinary projects in the future and I am looking forward to some further cooperation with ITSLIQUID GROUP.
