LUCA CURCI – What is art for you?
DOYEON KIM
– There are energies that always exist in our lives, and there are energies that act on us in the world even if it’s not visible. As I was drawn by this energy, I began to draw the world as the source of all energy. These paintings have given me purification and healing, and made it possible for me to fulfill my desires.

LC – What are you currently working on?
DK
– I always draw abstract about “Energy Generation”

LC – What’s your background? What is the experience that has influenced your work the most?
DK
– The work expresses that people and things, people and people, people and the world, people and the universe seem to be separated outwardly, but are all connected by energy. This is not the subjective world of work, but the truth of this universe. This truth is my driving force for creating works.

LC – Which is the role the artist plays in society? And contemporary art?
DK
– I think of the artists as being like light in society. A being who can give strength, become a dream, and show another world to those in need.

LC – Where do you find your inspiration?
DK
– I am inspired by all God’s creations. “Energy Generation” is a work that expresses the explosive expansion and attraction of the energy and contains desire of the viewers and the power to achieve the desire.
