Luca Curci
talks with JoJo Huxford during VISIONS, third appointment of ANIMA MUNDI 2022, at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello.

“I attended Boston College and the University of Virginia graduate school. I moved up the coast to Westport Connecticut. I studied photography at SILVERMINE ART GUILD, New Canaan, Connecticut for several Years. I was a freelance photographer my younger years. My photography was featured in Cape Cod Magazine. I took up art two years ago and I fell in love with it. I work with pastels pencil ink watercolors oil and acrylics. My is work full of color strength and movement alongside an ethereal quality. I use traditional art combined with digital platforms: which allows for a creative sphere. My creative mind was established very young, from a childhood replete with illness. My imagination was my salvation from these very harsh beginnings 12 to 22. This resource is represented in my art. My art is an immersive experience a sense of independence freedom flight. JKH art flows to the realm the senses. I take you there: without aim presently or subjectively. I fly with color, certain undertones of reality: joy death sorrow sensuality ‘the stuff of life. Some have called it creative genius I call it survival 101 from tough beginnings.”
