Luca Curci- What are your thoughts while you paint? Do you have any habits or rituals while you work?
Mihaela Olujić –
I paint what I feel. Love is the highest form of Art for me. It is from my heart talking and my brain executing. And I feel deeply everything. I transfer my #feelings to the canvas, paper… Or other various media that are communicating to me at the moment… There is always a moment of silence and peaceful connection to my higher self before I start to transfer my emotions to artwork. I need a lot of space while I produce my artwork. Then I also slowly introduced the music to the surroundings. And then I loose the notion of time and I sense when the energy is finally transferred to result. It is like a meditation to me.

LC- How much has the city/country in which you grew up/born affected your work as an artist?
MO –
My home town and my country, as well as my family and surroundings that I had the opportunity to observe and sense naturally formed me in a way. It is inevitable. I still am in a formation… And every day I have a new layer sort of notion and conscience… It is a continuous discovery of life and purpose.

LC – How do you choose your subjects? Is it a reasoned or an instinctive process?
MO –
It is both, the synergy of reason and instinct/intuition and it goes both ways in a constant search of harmony. It is always like a trip to the unknown… I get intuitively drawn towards the subject in a visual sense and then I start the painting research process. And on the way I discover other subjects that talk to me.

LC – Do you use art to express something in particular? Is it your medium of expression?
MO –
Art is in the deep core of my being. It is what I am naturally.

LC – How do you feel when you see your work completed?
MO –
I feel also in a way completed. It is a good feeling. A Relief.

LC – Do you agree with our vision of art and what do you think about the theme of the exhibition?
MO –
I am glad I was a part of your vision and project. I support your initiative. London Contemporary Art is a very actual and open theme that is interesting.

LC – Can you explain something about the artworks you have in our exhibition?
MO –
London Contemporary was the exhibition I participated in with two paintings “The Moon shine” and “The Sun shine” are paintings where I explore the gestures and movements of expression with color and circular elements, in constant moves like day and night…and one can not go without other, the opposites that are completing the beauty of life. Connection to Planetary movement. Technically I experience the scripture effect with the visual notion, like poetry written in colors.

LC – Did you enjoy cooperating with us?
MO –
Yes, thank you for the opportunity.

LC – What do you think about ITSLIQUID Platform?
