Luca Curci – What’s your background? What is the experience that has influenced your work the most?
Pilar Rivero Donoso – The painting itself and my memories. I have always painted, for me painting is life. Since I was a child I have lived in an artistic environment, my painter father has marked this important stage in my life. Painting was like a necessity, an innate passion that always made me paint and draw and that has marked my life, transforming my vision of the world.
LC – Which subject are you working on?
PRD – I am currently preparing an exhibition in Paris and another in Vienna, both for 2022.
LC – Which is the role the artist plays in society? And contemporary art?
PRD – The artist is a great instrument of communication, who can reach many people and generate ideas, concepts and visions with his talent, work and honesty. Contemporary art reflects the era in which we live in which the influences of the past are felt. One of the most prominent signs of current art is that it is one of the most relevant examples of multiculturalism.
LC – Where do you find your inspiration?
PRD – In the life. In the daily acts of the day to day. With my painting, I try to convey my personal vision of the world.
LC – What is the most challenging part about creating your artworks?
PRD – To be able to transmit my vision of the world. The intimate satisfaction that my works really and truly convey my way of understanding and capturing life.
LC – Do you agree with our vision of art and what do you think about the theme of the exhibition?
PRD – It essentially coincides with my personal vision of art. Linked to the reality of our time, an international, multicultural and inclusive reality.
LC – In which way the artwork presented in our exhibition is connected with the exhibition’s theme?
PRD – My works reflect my vision of small everyday moments in life. Instances common to any culture, any society, any reality. A personal vision for a globalized world.
LC – Do you think ITSLIQUID GROUP can represent an opportunity for artists?
PRD – Absolutely. ITSLIQUID GROUP has become one of the main references worldwide for the dissemination and knowledge of contemporary art, both for the most established artists and for new artists. Using the most effective and innovative lines of communication and taking his international and open vision of art to the best exhibition centers.
LC – What are your suggestions about our services? Is there something more we can provide to artists?
PRD – The offer of services and collaboration options is very extensive and complete. As a complement, I would dare to suggest an application or link on its website to be able to make a virtual visit to the exhibitions in force at this time when the pandemic poses so many problems of displacement and attendance.
