“As a professional fine artist, I am able to adapt to any art style and work in different materials and mediums, also I am able to do different styles in my paintings and mix different art schools in a modern way such as contemporary art and modern impressionism. My inspirations are the Art Masters: Monet, Manet, Renoir, Dégat, Van Gogh, Picasso, Delacroix and Michelangelo. Following the art schools of Impressionism, expressionism, Cubism, Kandinsky, Abstract and Classic Art. I love landscapes, still live, and abstract themes. Also recently I am doing some fluid arts as now there are a lot of new art materials and paints introduced in the art market for artists to try new artistic creations and inventions in the art world. I like to spread positivity and happiness in my artwork and make sure that my artwork is perfect before displaying it in an exhibition; I always try to use elegant colors and happy colors as I do not like to spread sadness in my artwork. Also, I love to do animal portraits as horses and falcons and human portraits”.

LUCA CURCI – How did you get to your current artistic practice?
RAFA TOM
– I got to this artistic practice by doing a lot of paintings and participating in different art exhibitions and in different themes, also by searching about new techniques in Art and discovering new supplies and mediums to use in the artworks.

LC – What are your thoughts while you paint? Do you have any habits or rituals while you work?
RT
– I always prepare myself well before starting a new painting, and prefer to paint and work at night, love to listen to music while working and do not like to be disturbed, I just focus and work and go with my imagination.

LC – Which is the role the artist plays in society? And contemporary art?
RT
– The artist is the mirror of what is happening in the world and has to demonstrate and show in my opinion positive energy for the crowd not always sadness and ugly stuff, because people like to see beautiful arts and artworks and the artist has this magic to make the ugly beautiful, and the sadness happiness. About contemporary art, it is now a new favorite for people who are looking for something simple, abstract, not too classic, modern to fit their home or easy to understand. Professional artists can adjust and see what customers and people need and what society needs these days.

LC – Which art themes do you pursue? What is your preferred subject, if there is any?
RT
– The themes I pursue are landscapes, abstracts, compositions, still lives, horses, portraits. My preferred subjects are landscapes, compositions, people, abstracts and horses.

RT
– I liked a lot your vision of art and how you are helping artists to showcase their artworks in different cities and places!! Amazing! Also, the theme of the festival is beautiful. You are doing a great job.

LC – In which way the artwork presented in our exhibition is connected with the festival’s theme?
RT
– The way you chose the artworks from different artists it shows that all are connected to the same theme.

LC – WhaT do you think about ITSLIQUID Platform?
RT
– I think ITSLIQUID platform is great as I said previously, you are helping a lot of artists from around the world to be connected and to be known everywhere, and this is amazing.

LC – What are your suggestions about our services? Is there something more we can provide to artists?
RT
– This is my first time participating so still I don’t have any suggestions right now, I wish I can be present next time. And I wish that we can get a good certificate after the show and that we can sell some of the artwork.

LC – Do you think ITSLIQUID GROUP can represent an opportunity for artists?
RT
– Of course, I think it is a big opportunity to participate in these different art themes and exhibitions with ITSLIQUID GROUP because they are professionals and have connections and knows collectors and art professionals and lovers and curators and they can promote artists through social media, magazines, tv, internet because an artist cannot do it alone.
