Luca Curci – How did you get to your current artistic practice?
Veronique Van Asch –
During my studies, I always followed a creative education. Visual arts and create showcase. Decor and stand construction. When I start working I had the feeling that i need more creative challence. So I went to art academy of Borsbeek/Antwerp to follow ceramics for seven years.

LC – How much has the city/country in which you grew up/born affected your work as an artist?

LC – How do you choose your subjects? Is it a reasoned or an instinctive process?
It is rather an instinctive process where I choose a certain theme that triggered me. The different sculptures that I made around one theme are fully instinctive created without any preparatory preparation.

LC – Do you use art to express something in particular? Is it your medium of expression?
It is more an expression of a feeling that I have on the moment I create the sculpture.

I found it a interesting concept. how can people be so different in many facets, but at the end, we all want the same.
