Every collection of sofas and armchairs stems from constant dialogue with designers all over the world. This has helped to make LaCividina a partner in significant interior living projects in a variety of public and private settings.Unadulterated aesthetics, high-quality materials, perfect workmanship and exceptional organization: LaCividina fuses comfort and appealing designs, while keeping Italian manual culture alive.

If we had to tell our story using a timeline, it would start in 1976, when Carlo Bulfoni – who already had more than 20 years of experience in the world of upholstered furniture – decided to open a workshop in Martignacco (in the province of Udine) and call it LaCividina.

Prototype makers, model makers, tailors, joiners and upholsterers are just some of the 9 professional figures involved in the production of every item.

All of our manufacturing processes take place within a 50 km radius, which encompasses a production district that is renowned for its outstanding upholstered furniture. LaCividina has become the first manufacturer of padded furniture in Italy to be awarded a “Certificate of Italian origin for furniture”. It is a form of official recognition for the quality of goods that are “Made in Italy” and it shows that the production processes take place in Italy.

The certification procedure was carried out in October 2018 by Catas and Cosmob, which are the top wood and furniture testing and certification laboratories in Italy.

The authentic, quintessential properties associated with the “Made in Italy” label have been at the heart of every LaCividina project for more than 40 years. We are proud to play a part in championing the Italian manufacturing culture, which flawlessly fuses quality, technical expertise and exceptional workmanship.
