Le Salon du Design – 4th edition of the vintage design fair
Pavillon Sicli, Geneva, Switzerland
November 05 – 06, 2022
The only fair in Switzerland entirely devoted to 20th-century furniture, lamps and objects, Le Salon du Design, returns for a fourth edition at the Pavillon Sicli in Geneva. After a two-year hiatus, the vintage event, known as one of the most beautiful in Europe, is back on the weekend of 5 and 6 November 2022. 33 specialised galleries will take over the 1300 sqm of the modernist building to sell the most desirable items from the 1900s to the 1990s. Coming from Switzerland, France, Romania, Belgium and Austria, they will reveal their most beautiful finds exclusive to the Fair attendance. Since its first edition in 2017, the Geneva fair has been defending quality and selecting its exhibitors from recognised professional dealers. In the cosy atmosphere of the Pavillon Sicli, visitors will be able to shop original and often rare icons from the past, signed by the designers who made history or more confidential names to be discovered.

While strolling through the fair’s booths, interior design lovers and collectors will discover early examples of armchairs designed by the Finnish Alvar Aalto, sophisticated floor lamps by the Italians Gio Ponti and Angelo Lelii, and radical designs by the champions of the movement (Ettore Sottsass, Michele De Lucchi). The know-how of Danish Modern, represented by Finn Juhl, Hans J. Wegner or Borge Møgensen, among others, will be on display in this Scandinavian wooden furniture that is still in hot demand. Lovers of natural, more rustic materials will be pleased with the alpine creations of French(wo)men Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Chapo and André Sornay, or the 1950s and 1960s productions from South America. The fair will provide the opportunity to add a few icons to your collection, to find the masterpiece that was missing from your home or simply to treat yourself to a sustainable purchase. During the last edition in 2019, more than 5000 did attend the Geneva design fair.
