“EXCALIBURN” #2

A serie of sideboards and wardrobes inspiring to ancient swords, redesigned with a rigorous graphical point of view. All finished in laminated mirror sheets and lacquered in various colors inside, polished or matt. The project is a tribute to Excalibur, originally Caliburn, drawn from the tip of the spear with wich Longino pierced the side of Christ and forged by Merlin. “The kings’ Sword” makes its possessor invincible. Famous for its supernatural strength, it originated many other swords, all invariably imbued with mysterious magical powers. The utopic sum of the three elements ideally recreates the sword. Ideated and produced by Tommaso Pedone in 2009/2010.

The space housing the new ADI Design Compasso d'Oro Museum in Milan is ready and was visited by Attilio Fontana, President of the Lombardy Region and the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala accompanied by ADI President Luciano Galimberti and the President of the ADI Compasso d'Oro Foundation Collection Umberto Cabini. The headquarters of the new museum are located in Porta Volta in the heart of the restored area between via Ceresio and via Procaccini, in a piazza-garden open to the public and accessible from via Ceresio 7 or directly from the space in front of the Monumental Cemetery.
