My name is Leonie Isabel Appels, Lia for short. I am 29 years old, studied fashion design and founded and designed the Munich fashion label Liapure Design Studio. With Liapure I have realized the long-awaited dream of my own brand. My goal is to combine quality and timelessness with the perfect cut in my designs and thus pursue my philosophy of a pure and authentic style that lasts longer than just one season. That’s why I work exclusively with small and local manufacturers in Germany and Portugal, who skillfully implement my designs and allow close cooperation. All my essentials are made from certified natural fibres in neutral tones. Thanks to the colour-coordinated product range, Liapure stands out skilfully from other brands. Each fabric in the Liapure collection was dyed specifically for Liapure Design Studio according to the specifications of three Pantone colours in order to achieve a harmonious monochrome look within the collection.

Liapure Design Studio was founded at the end of 2019 and is based on two collections that complement and enrich each other. These include the Liapure and Liapure Atelier collections. Liapure is our season-independent collection consisting of timeless essentials. Each garment in this collection has been designed with the perfect fit in mind and crafted with care from quality fabrics in neutral tones such as black, navy blue, beige and off-white. Made under fair conditions in small factories and from sustainable materials, Liapure Essentials can be worn and loved anytime and anywhere, as a monochrome look from head to toe or, depending on the style, as a mix and match with your other favourite pieces.

Liapure Atelier is our handmade collection, which appears twice a year in a very limited edition. These high fashion pieces vary from season to season and can also be purchased made to measure and customized if desired. As an add-on to our Essential Line, we also integrate bright accents and powerful eye-catchers as a contrast to the restrained basics. All Atelier designs are handmade in Bavaria and are therefore only available in very limited quantities.

My mission is to create timeless fashion, which involves a long and complex development in terms of cut and fit, but which can be worn throughout all seasons – in other words, fashion that is long-lasting with the demand for quality that guarantees this longevity. Pieces to be passed on to generations and designs that will never go out of style.

We should all learn to appreciate our clothes again and turn away from the current throwaway mentality. A sustainable product should not and cannot follow the madness of the fashion industries rhythm, which is why at Liapure Design Studio we are not following constantly changing trends. It is precisely these that have led to fast fashion brands coming out with almost 40 or more collections a year and producing far too many unnecessary goods for an already completely oversaturated market. A product that follows this cycle can be made from eco fabrics and great materials under fair conditions, but it is still not sustainable, because timeless nor durable and thus ignores the cornerstones of sustainable fashion.
