Louve de Nordneg is a new brand specialized in print designs. For her first collection, she has put her best pieces together to create an outstanding set of silk scarves and bow ties. The brand was created in 2011 when Sofi decided to follow her passion for art and fashion and took it to the next level. Her boutique office is based in Clerkenwell, at the heart of London’s design district. The particularity of the brand is that similarly to a Rorschach test, you are invited to interprete Louve de Nordneg’s designs. The patterns are significantly different from one another using deep enigmatic blues to vibrant reds to suit your mood, state of mind and personality.

Snow flowers by Louve de Nordneg

Taking a surrealist approach to create her designs, Louve experiments in a nonsystematic manner to create temporary and abstract sculptures made of the most delicate and fragile objects that she is collecting: velvet, ribbons, jewels, inks and withered flowers. This approach led her to question the fragility and the ephemerality of life itself, tightening the relationship between fashion and art even further. Most of the designs were created at Louve’s summer house in France, in her apartment in Paris and from the spur of her travels around the world, mainly in Japan. For her first collection of silk scarves and bow ties, Louve de Nordneg presents a set of vibrant, sophisticated and edgy designs. Using a very distinctive and rich palette of colours and shapes, the designs are striking by their beauty whilst keeping a sense of mystery and darkness.
