Maria Maleta is a Portuguese design brand of leather goods that only works with genuine leather and sustainable raw- materials, underlining the best production of Portugal. Inspired by friendship and female personality, Maria Maleta was created by two friends so different from each other, who believe that all women have two personal sides. Therefore most of the products reflect versatility as they can be used in many different ways. There is no stereotypes neither any rules, that is the freedom to be expressed in a timeless product.

The products are handmade in Portugal by local suppliers. Maria Maleta only work with suppliers that share the same thoughts about the future and share the same concerns about the environment.
The brand preferably uses the genuine leather as raw material, in order to give the greatest possible durability to its products, so that they don’t make part of the excessive consumption and the large amount of waste on our planet. Maria Maleta believes in a circular economy and the timeless product, thus using leather as the main raw material, used for several decades due to its exclusive characteristics: resistance, durability and quality. The brand uses only the leather coming from the residue of the largest world industry, the Food industry.
