Mimma Ninni’s concept store celebrates his second birthday party on Saturday october the 9th.

Mimma Ninni gave birth to her concept store as a woman that represents Bari’s good taste and femininity in the world with a very personal style that ranges from minimal to haute couture. In 1988, thanks to her natural talent and elegance she imagined and carried out the opening of the exclusive Mila Schon’s shop in Puglia’s main town. The brand has been standing next to several others international maisons that Mimma Ninni herself launched so that she is now one of the made in puglia’s datum point of the fashion system firmament. In 2008, not by chance, Mrs. Ninni received the award for the fashion field , of Bari’s Camera di Commercio for best feminine testimonial of the economy and the work in Bari.

The haute couture boutique of the origin, develops and splits into four different essences: the haute couture, the prêt a porter, the everyday classic style and finally the concept store born in 2008.

The first aim of the firm, that believes in research, is proposing clients products of excellence and new slants. For this reason, Mimma Ninni’s concept store has became a definitive reference point for fashionable women.

During the event, following the space mood, history of fashion will be retraced through some of the historical documents of the icon maisons of the Art/fashion Manifest of  mid twentieth century (Balenciaga, Maison Martin Margiela, Givenchy).

Fashion will be narrated through three artistic disciplines linked to her: video, music, sculture.

Video section, edited by the architect and  artistic director of International ArtExpo, Luca Curci, will be showing a fusion between segments of history of fashion and fragments of Dada videos.

Galleria Bonomo’s benchmark Franco Dellerba will be participating with his dynamic work: two site-specific installations will be creating a link between site and identity, between art and daily physicality.

Sound selector Valentina Iacovelli will be mashing original 50/60s tracks and contemporary covers of the European electronic scene through her chill course.

Cool hunter, buyer and young professional event manager Gildakoral Flora, returned in Bari after several fashion experiences abroad, will be supporting Mrs Ninni.

Respira Puglia is the network responsible for the event conception and realization and is the dynamic and ambitious answer to the old concept of “services agency”; Respira Puglia has a mission shared by its several actors that takes shape through a continuous development of ideas and a challenge between creatives in elaborating proposals for meeting the request of the client. To make a net, to share experiences, projects, solutions and knowledge, means entering a new dimention, where anybody’s profession is the highest expression of a common sense of affiliation.

INTERVIEW: HEIKE-ANGELA BALTRUWEIT

Interviews | October 12, 2020

I am looking for abstract compositions in my surroundings to capture them photographically. The objects and situations are neither changed, arranged nor manually illuminated, nor are they subsequently edited on the computer, even the detail is identical to the shot. All pictures are 'Pure Photography'. I see my surroundings as a 'natural exhibition space'. I find works of art on the pavement, on building walls, in the water and in factory buildings. These works of art are fixations of the moment and therefore difficult to reproduce. A different angle of view, a changed incidence of light, and the colours, bizarrely changed forms have disappeared. Read more
