Notabag

Notabag is a smart combination of a bag and a backpack. With a single pull on the straps, it transforms itself from a sleek eco-friendly bag to an easy-to-carry backpack. Inside of the bag, there is an attached pocket where you can keep your wallet or your keys. When the bag is not in use, it can be folded into that pocket, which becomes a hand-sized pouch and can be easily carried around.

Notabag is the winner of German Design Award 2016 for excellent product design and the winner of Hesse State Award for Universal Design. Its patented design and functionality is protected by the RCD (Registered Community Design). Notabag is a young, award-winning German brand and it is named after the Notabag product, which was introduced in December 2012 through Kickstarter.

Notabag founder and designer Adnan Alicusic was inspired to create Notabag during a real life challenge, where a shopping bag on his bike’s handle bar almost led to fatal situation in a city traffic. He found himself stuck between the cars during the busy traffic and the shopping bag made the situation worse by limiting his ability to manoeuvre the bike. Wishing that he had a backpack with him, Adnan started to visualize a simplified solution to transform a bag into a backpack.

In addition to creating functional and quality products, Notabag’s mission is to have a positive impact on our environment by reducing material waste. The products are constructed to last for a long time and help you minimize the use of one-way plastic bags.

The reflective Notabag adds extra safety on the street by making cyclists, pedestrians, skaters, or pretty much anyone carrying it visible at night. The Reflective Notabag is a clever combination of a bag and a backpack made from high visibility reflective material. Just like the original Notabag, it quickly transforms from a bag to a backpack with a pull on the straps.
